Nigerian pop singer, Tiwa Savage, isn’t done with Nollywood.
In an interview with Premium Times, the “If I Start to Talk” singer spoke on the role she would love to play in a movie. According to Savage, she would love to play the role of a market woman in a movie.
“I wouldn’t want to play a role that is similar to whom I am in real life [that is] a celebrity, musician or whatever people perceive as Tiwa savage. I will actually love to play the role of a market woman,” she said.
Tiwa is no stranger to being an actress. In 2013, Savage starred alongside Chris Attoh, Maria Okanrende, Emmanuel Ikubese, Sharon Ezeamaka, Olumide Owuru in the third season of “Shuga.”
In 2016, she starred alongside Funke Akindele in the hilarious TV series, “Jenifa’s Diary.”
In 2016, Tiwa signed a deal with Roc Nation, an American entertainment company founded by Jay Z. During the interview, Savage also spoke on handling media negativity, future plans and breaking into the international market.
